Unlike the original Z7, the Z7 II adds a second CFexpress/XQD card slot alongside its SD slot, a genuinely practical addition many photographers specifically requested after the single-slot original drew criticism at launch — a real, direct response to user feedback rather than a marketing-driven upgrade. It also gained a vertical grip attachment option the original Z7 lacked, along with a faster maximum continuous shooting rate, both genuine ergonomic and performance improvements for photographers who found the original Z7 limiting for extended handheld sessions or fast-moving subjects.
