Fujifilm X-T50

Released in 2024, the X-T50 brings the flagship X-T5's 40.2-megapixel sensor down into a genuinely smaller, lighter, more affordable body, positioned as the entry point into Fujifilm's high-resolution APS-C generation rather than a separate lower-tier sensor design.

The X-T50 also gained a dedicated Film Simulation dial on the top plate, a physical control absent from the flagship X-T5, letting photographers switch between Fujifilm's color profiles without diving into a menu — a genuine ergonomic feature the smaller body received that its more expensive sibling didn't. It also carries over the same in-body stabilization rating as the X-T5, meaning the smaller body doesn't sacrifice handheld shooting steadiness despite its more compact, more affordable positioning within the lineup. A genuinely rare case of a smaller body outshining its flagship sibling in one specific respect.

Fujifilm also gave the X-T50 a simplified single-dial autofocus-area selector compared to the X-T5's more elaborate joystick-driven system, a real ergonomic tradeoff for its smaller, more compact body.
