The original R6 topped out at 20 frames per second in its electronic shutter mode, meaningfully slower than the 40fps ceiling its Mark II successor introduced two years later — a real, measurable difference for photographers specifically chasing peak burst speed, even though the R6's core resolution, sensor size and general image quality remained close to its successor's own specifications and continue to hold up well on the secondhand market.
